Storage & Shelf Life

Bonbons do not need to be refrigerated. Our bonbons should all be stored in a cool, dry place, free from any heat or direct sunlight.
If the ambient temperature in your home is above 68 F, or you live in a humid environment, you may store them in the fridge, inside their packaging.

We recommend our customers consume the bonbons within 2-3 weeks of the purchase date.
If they have been stored in a warmer environment, we suggest consuming within in a week of purchasing.

We ship Monday-Wednesday. If you place your order after Monday, your order will not ship until the following week.
We use UPS select which takes 2-4 days from the date of shipment, (not the date of purchase), depending on where you are located in the country.
If you live in an unsecured area, neighborhood, or building where you have issues receiving packages, we recommend you purchase our “signature required” option, as we are not liable for any missing/stolen/lost packages.
Note: We cannot dictate nor control the exact arrival date and time of delivery. We use UPS, and after our packages are shipped off, they will be dispatched within the time frame given on the shipping labels. If you need it by a certain time, please email us at boroughchocolates@gmail.com so we can help arrange the correct shipping service.
Delays are unfortunately out of our control and we will do our best to help facilitate a timely delivery. Once the package leaves our hands and is given to our shipper, we cannot change or update addresses or the receiver. If you have made a mistake after the package is in transit, you may call us to help facilitate a new delivery, this is at the customer’s cost of $20.
If you have a special occasion you wish to ship the chocolates to please give yourself at least a week in advance. This circumstance is rare, but does happen on occasion. You can always put in an order early and leave us a note when you would like it to ship by and we will arrange shipping accordingly! Thank you for understanding!

For our online ordering we are unable to fill exact flavor matches, as we are a small business and cannot guarantee we have the desired flavors in stock.
We prioritize the most popular flavors for ordering, and the larger the box, the more flavor options you will receive.
We do provide allergy options so you are able to avoid the major allergens.
If you have requests, we recommend you write to us in the notes section at checkout, and we will do our best to fulfill the order.

Due to high volume, and being a smaller production business, we often run out of our popular items, especially during the holidays.

Due to Borough Chocolates’ high volume of customers, and being a small business, we do not have the capability to be available for phone calls unless scheduled.
We provide most information in depth on our website.
We are extremely responsive with our emails, so we recommend you email, so we are also able to give our best and most accurate answer for any questions you may have.
If you have reached out to use through email, and you feel a phone conversation is still needed, we are able to do a call by appointment only.

Return Policy & Cancellations

Due to bonbons being a perishable product, we do not accept returns or exchanges.
If there is an issue in the quality of the chocolates, we will replace your bonbons with either a duplicate order or a refund for the price of purchase.

We do not accept order cancellations for most occasions beyond 12 hours of purchasing.
Our products are both perishable, and made in small batches, making it hard to recirculate the no longer needed order which was already accounted for through our inventory.
If there is an accident in the shipping address, and it has not yet dispatched, we are able to provide a cancellation and re-order.
We do not accept cancellations at all for limited release products or special seasonal collections.

If you are shipping your box and enter the wrong address, please notify us within 24 hours, or we will have to charge an extra fee on the address change for the courier. If you happen to exceed the 24 hours, we will do our best to help and accommodate, but we cannot guarantee successful results. We will not refund boxes for an incorrect address on the customers’ error. Please make sure and double check when filling out your shipping information, and notify the recipients they have a package coming.
