Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ’s

How long Will my Chocolates Last?

Molded bonbons are essentially deemed “air-tight” and have a fairly decent shelf life. Bonbons are filled with a liquid based ganache incapsulated in a seal of tempered chocolate, which helps preserve it from spoiling. Bonbons can technically last up to about a month, depending on the weather and environment, (being kept in a cool dry place vs. humidity or any temperature above 75 degrees F). We encourage you to consume your chocolates within two weeks of your purchase date to ensure the quality and integrity of the chocolates. If you have have purchased solid chocolate with no filling, this will essentially have no expiration date but will begin to lose integrity of texture and flavor. We recommend consuming these within two weeks of purchasing.

How should i store my chocolates?

Upon receiving your bonbons, place them in a cool and dry place. Chocolate hates humidity and heat. Anything above 70 degrees is not ideal, we like to suggest “wine cooler” temperatures. You may place your chocolates in the freezer or fridge if you wish to preserve them for further consumption. When freezing, there is a specific thawing process in order to retain the bonbon’s shine and texture. The chocolates must be slowly thawed, place in freezer in an airtight container 2 days prior to consumption. Move to the fridge over night and pull to temper to room temp, and enjoy! The freezing method is only necessary if you would wish to preserve beyond 4 months. You may keep in the fridge to preserve for a couple months in an air tight container.

FAQ’s

Why is shipping So pricy?

Our shipping prices are based directly from the shipping couriers. We do not make the shipping rates. Due to Covid-19 and rising gas prices, shipping rates have sky rocketed in the past couple years.

We use FedEx 2 Day, which is the only way to successfully ship a perishable and meltable product.

We pack all of our chocolates with high quality insulated mailers and ice packs to ensure your chocolates arrive safely. During warmer months, shipping prices will go up as more ice packs and insulation is needed to ship your packages.

We recommend you do not order chocolates if you will be in an area that is over 75 F .
